For 3 years in a row these butterflies would hibernate in our house and when the house was particularly warm in the fall and winter they would get confused and come out of hibernation to fly around the house. The sound of 20-30 butterflies fluttering on the window sills would last for months! I would put out little dishes and shells full of sugar water for them.
